Member Hour: Meet Artist Mindy Lam

Taubman Museum of Art Members are invited to a special Member Hour with acclaimed artist and couture jewelry designer Mindy Lam.

Known for blurring the line between art and adornment, Lam transforms metal, crystals, and semi-precious stones into intricate, ethereal works distinguished by her signature metal lacework and meticulous craftsmanship.

Her work combines the elegance of classic couture with a fresh, contemporary vision, inviting viewers into a world where familiar forms take on new magic.

For the Taubman Museum of Art’s 75th Anniversary, Lam was commissioned to create a new dress and frame, now featured alongside a selection of brooches, crowns, and frames in Mindy Lam: Transcendent Beauty.

The exhibition explores Lam’s enduring fascination with texture, structure, and the transformative potential of material, revealing her work as sculpture, storytelling, and objects of wonder.

Members will have the opportunity to meet Mindy Lam and learn more about her remarkable artistic practice and long design career.

Lam’s work has been featured in publications including Elle, Brides Magazine, Glamour, People, Life & Style, L’Officiel, and Vogue Italia, and has been exhibited at the Taubman Museum of Art and the Berkshire Botanical Garden in Stockbridge, Massachusetts.

Mindy Lam: Transcendent Beauty is on view March 6–May 31, 2026 in the David R. and Susan S. Goode Gallery.

Members are encouraged to bring up to two paying guests for this special morning program.
