Books, art, music, cake, and more – it’s a celebration for the opening weekend of LeUyen Came Along: The Art of LeUyen Pham!

This new exhibition features the whimsical world of artist LeUyen Pham, the bestselling children’s illustrator of series such as Itty-Bitty Kitty-Corn, Vampirina Ballerina, The Princess in Black, and more. The works on view are sure to be instantly recognizable to young readers and their families.

LeUyen (pronounced “Lay-Win”) Pham is highly skilled at developing characters so that each one is unique and dynamic, with recognizable personalities that readers want to revisit over and over. Over the course of her successful career (she’s the author of more than 140 books!), she’s illustrated everything from bears and badgers to best friends and families.

This fun, free party includes:

  • Live music from family-friendly indie-rock band, Einstein’s Monkey
  • Story time sessions with Roanoke City Libraries (featuring stories by LeUyen, of course!)
  • Crafts and other art-making activities
  • and more!

And bonus – all participants who show their library card will receive free admission to Art Venture, the Museum’s interactive exploratory gallery for kids and families.

Free and welcoming to all. No registration required – walk-ins welcome!
