Art in Conversation: Inside the Exhibition
May 01, 2026
6:30 pm – 7:30 pm
Art in Conversation: Inside the Exhibition offers a behind-the-scenes look at how an exhibition comes together.
Focusing on the Taubman Museum of Art’s new exhibition, 75th Anniversary: New Visions for the Permanent Collection, Curator Laura Higgins will share how she made key decisions, including where to place artwork and how color and design help to tell an exhibition’s story.
You’ll learn what tools and process the curatorial team uses to plan an exhibition before it is installed, and leave with new insight into how exhibitions are shaped and how those choices influence the way we experience art.
