Roanoke Symphony String Ensemble and Symphonia Concert

String Ensemble and Symphonia serve as beginning and intermediate level youth ensembles for students across Virginia’s Blue Ridge. These ensembles rehearse weekly and perform concerts in public venues throughout the city of Roanoke during the year. Students in these ensembles progress with the opportunity to audition for the Roanoke Youth Symphony Orchestra.

The Roanoke Symphony Orchestra’s youth ensembles provide an educationally appropriate place for students to develop ensemble skills up to their high school graduation. For students interested in joining a RSO education program, please email the RSO Education Director at virginia.willis@rso.com.
