Annette Nancarrow and the Mexican Avant-Garde

Annette Nancarrow was an American-born artist whose life and work were deeply intertwined with Mexico’s cultural and artistic movements of the 20th century. Living and working in Mexico for much of her career, Nancarrow carved a unique space within its artistic circles through her experimental practice and close relationships with prominent artists in the Mexican avant-garde.
