November Member Hour: Choose Your Own Adventure in American Made

There’s more than one way to experience American Made: Paintings and Sculpture from the DeMell Jacobsen Collection, and this Member Hour, we’re inviting you to discover three of them!

Featuring more than 80 works spanning two centuries of American art, American Made offers three colorful, interactive pathways that let visitors explore the exhibition according to their own interests and curiosity.

During this special Member Hour, get an insider’s look at these fun new experiences and discover which path speaks to you:

• 🟡 Art Explorers (Yellow): Get back to the basics! Discover hidden symbols, explore the elements of art, and sharpen your observation skills. Perfect for curious minds of all ages.
• 🩷 Off-Script (Magenta): Love a good unexpected connection? Explore the exhibition through pop culture references, quirky facts, and surprising stories you might not find on a traditional museum tour.
• 🔵 Deep Dive (Blue): Ready to go a little deeper? Explore artistic movements, styles, and the fascinating art history behind the works.

Each pathway leads to the new Roanoke Made room, where visitors can get creative at the sketch station and add their own artwork to a growing community art wall. And there’s a small reward for completing your journey: a collectible button corresponding to your chosen path!

Join us for this Member Hour to explore the galleries before the Museum opens to the public and discover a whole new way to experience American Made!
