Immersive Experience of the Permanent Collection
Nov 06, 2026 – May 16, 2027
In celebration of its 75th Anniversary, the Taubman Museum of Art presents a newly commissioned immersive experience that brings the Museum’s Permanent Collection to life.
Created in partnership with Virginia Tech’s Institute for Creativity, Arts, and Technology (ICAT) with musical composition by Gordon Marsh, Professor Emeritus of Music Studies at Roanoke College and Charles Nichols, Professor of Composition at Virginia Tech, this dynamic journey features beloved masterpieces and new acquisitions, brought together through movement and original musical scores composed especially for the experience.
Blending art, music, and digital technology, the experience invites visitors to discover unexpected connections and see familiar works in a new light.
