Virtual Roanoke STEAM Day

Friday, October 29, 2021

Celebrate Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math virtually with Roanoke STEAM Day on Friday, October 29!

Area museums and organizations - including the Taubman - are partnering together to offer a fun and engaging way to get students excited about learning.

Did you know that the Taubman has a cool new exhibition called Tech-Couture: Fashion in the Digital Age that looks at the relationship between technology and fashion?

That's right - fashion designers are using amazing technology such as 3D printers, biomimicry, biofabrics, and generative design to create an extraordinary hybrid of technology and artistry, resulting in wearable sculpture! Could you imagine wearing a sculpture?

Check out these videos to learn more about this exhibition, cool tech like 3D printers, and then take a self-guided 3D Virtual Tour of the gallery by clicking the link below.

We hope to see you at the Museum soon so you can experience Tech-Couture for yourself in person!
