It’s a party 200 years in the making with the Opening Celebration for Making American Artists: Stories from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, 1776-1976!
This event is your opportunity to enjoy the splendor of an exhibition opening featuring masterworks from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts’ formidable collection featuring iconic historic works alongside stellar pieces by traditionally underrepresented artists.
From Winslow Homer and Georgia O’Keefe to Barkley L. Hendricks and Alice Neel, you’ll experience some of the most celebrated American artwork created over the past two centuries.
This evening features:
- Red carpet photo opps (dress to impress!)
- Live music and other performances
- Food trucks
- Open galleries with knowledgeable museum hosts
