Capture, Create, Share: High School Photography Immersion Program

Know a high school student who's an aspiring photographer? Join us for this special summer camp experience spotlighting photography!

The program will include hands-on photography experience as well as feature workshops and conversations with various local photographers specializing in still-life, journalistic, landscape, and commercial photography.

Participants will view and take inspiration from Ansel Adams: Compositions in Nature as well as have the opportunity for a conversation with two photographers from the upcoming exhibition, Vantage Points: Contemporary Photography from the Whitney Museum of American Art.

The Photography Immersion Program is a half-day camp for high school students that runs from July 5-10, 2021, from 1-5 p.m. each day.  Registration is required, and space is limited.

Program cost is $150 per participant.

The program will culminate in a public show of the participants’ works in the Museum’s Shop July 10-August 1, 2021.

Vantage Points: Contemporary Photography from the Whitney Museum of American Art was organized by the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York. Additionally, Vantage Points was organized around transformative gifts and promised gifts to the Whitney Museum from Emily Fisher Landau.
