Exhibition Spotlight: Dorothy Gillespie Still Enchanting Virginia's Blue Ridge

Wednesday, March 18, 2020

10:00am - 10:10am

With works from Rockefeller Center in New York to the Epcot Center in Florida, artist Dorothy Gillespie is perhaps one of the best known artists to come from southwest Virginia.

Here's a spotlight of her work on view in the exhibition, "Dorothy Gillespie: Still Enchanting Virginia's Blue Ridge," with fun, interesting stories about her background and process from Taubman Museum of Art Executive Director Cindy Petersen and Chief Curator Dr. Patrick Shaw Cable.

The exhibition is generously sponsored by the Roanoke Arts Commission, with additional support from the Dorothy M. Gillespie Foundation, Inc., and Susan and Geoff Jennings.
