Homeward Bound 2020: Juried Triennial

Friday, May 01, 2020 - Sunday, September 20, 2020

The Taubman Museum of Art is pleased to announce its second juried triennial, Homeward Bound, a major exhibition presenting recent work (2017-2019) in all media by artists currently residing in Virginia.

Juried by Nandini Makrandi, Chief Curator of the Hunter Museum of Art in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Homeward Bound showcases the Commonwealth's finest talent. Working efficiently and diligently on over a thousand artwork entries, Ms. Makrandi has selected the final artist and artworks that will comprise the Homeward Bound 2020 exhibition.

Awards will be presented the night of May 1, 2020 by Ms. Makrandi following her formal talk. The third place winner will receive $500 and the second place winner will receive $700. Both third and second place rewards are sponsored by LinDor Arts, located in downtown Roanoke. The first place winner will receive a solo exhibition in the Taubman Museum of Art's David R. and Susan S. Goode Regional Gallery.

Homeward Bound will be on view from the evening of May 1, 2020 until September 20, 2020. The exhibition will be on view on our second floor, the gallery level, in the Medical Facilities of America Gallery, the Temporary Exhibit Gallery, the Media Lab and the Central Gallery.
