The Art of Fashion: Project Roanoke Style

Calling all fashion enthusiasts! Do you love design, fashion, and crafting? What about fashion shows, like Project Runway? This class is perfect for you!

Join us for a fun, interactive workshop to learn how to create your own wearable art out of recycled materials! The workshop will be led by Fashionista Roanoke representatives, as well as Lauren Ricci, fashion historian and owner of Bride of the Fox Vintage Clothing! You will learn about the history of fashion and how to repurpose simple supplies, in this case newspaper, to design a garment that is sure to impress.

All you have to do is bring your own newspaper and your creativity, and we will provide the rest! Be prepared to amaze yourself with all the ingenious fashion hacks and fun you will have experimenting, all while learning about fashion trends and design tips. This workshop will give you the skills to design your own garments, whatever your style preferences may be.

Fashionista Roanoke is an aspiring non-profit organization that brings fashion shows and other related events to the Roanoke Valley. Their goal is to provide charity through fashion! They raise donations at their community events to support local charities of the Roanoke Valley.
