**The March 10, 2019 session has been postponed to March 17, 2019.

This course is a comprehensive introduction to digital photography with computer-based image manipulation using Adobe Photoshop software as the primary method of image processing.

We will discuss photographic composition and basic DSLR functions to understand technical issues related to cameras and editing software.

The primary goal of this course is to introduce you to basic editing techniques in Adobe Photoshop. Students will learn how to use the Adobe Photoshop interface and access its expansive set of features. Lessons cover the basics of saving and storing image files and defining the various processes used for image editing as it can be applied to landscape, portraiture or art photography.

Learning the technical aspects of lens based digital imaging, digital filing and basic photographic retouching will be the primary focus of this course.

Instructor Kyra Schmidt will supply tutorial images for group editing demonstrations, along with valuable handouts and tutorial videos to keep.

This course should be taken as a series for best results, and will take place over the course of four consecutive Sundays, from February 17th-March 10th.
