Cars and Coffee at the Taubman

Saturday, October 20, 2018

9:00am - 5:00pm

Love classic cars and motorcycles? Then this is YOUR day!

Join us as we partner with Roanoke Valley Cars and Coffee and the Virginia Museum of Transportation for a day that celebrates all things automotive!

Participants of the Roanoke Valley Cars and Coffee cruise-in will show their amazing rides on the streets immediately adjacent to the Museum throughout the morning (Market Street and Norfolk Avenue approximately 8 am-12 noon), while the Museum's new cafe Morning Brew Coffee Company will have locally roasted coffee and housemade treats available for purchase.

The Taubman will open one hour earlier at 9 am so guests have extra time to enjoy the new banner exhibition, DRIVE! Iconic American Cars and Motorcycles

Then after your special morning, catch the FREE double-decker bus (provided courtesy of Grand Home Furnishings!) anytime between 9:30 am-4:30 pm to the Virginia Museum of Transportation for a stroll through their new exhibition, The Star Cars of Hollywood, featuring nearly a dozen cars that starred in Hollywood movies.

It's free to enjoy the Roanoke Valley Cars and Coffee vehicles on view outside the Taubman Museum of Art during the morning.

As a special bonus, both the Taubman Museum of Art and the Virginia Museum of Transportation are offering $1 off their regular ticketed exhibition fees on this day to ALL guests. This is an exclusive one-day special, so don't miss out!

Please note these are separate ticketed exhibitions. You can purchase your discounted tickets to DRIVE! at the Taubman's Visitor Services Desk on October 20.

Tickets to the Virginia Museum of Transportation can be purchased in person at that Museum's guest services desk on the same day.
