Roanoke STEAM Day

Friday, November 08, 2019

9:30am - 2:00pm

Science is bigger than you think!

Area schools (including homeschools) are invited to visit Downtown Roanoke for a free celebration of Science, Technology , Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM) at area museums on November 8, 2019!

Students will have an opportunity to participate in an interactive and fun day that includes exhibitors, experts and emerging technologies. In past years we have had NASA, the Virginia Bioinformatics Institute, the Mobile STEM Lab and other fun and informative activities to excite students about the possibilities in STEAM that await them.

Roanoke STEAM Day is hosted by locations that include the Science Museum of Western Virginia, Taubman Museum of Art, Virginia Museum of Transportation, Virginia Tech Carilion Research Institute and Radford University Carilion. Each location will have activities targeted to specific age groups. There will be something there for students at every step of their academic careers.

There are scholarships available to help offset the cost of sending students. These funds will be available on a first come basis , so schools are encouraged to register early to take advantage.
