Intro to Handbuilding I

Friday, May 25, 2018

12:00pm - 2:00pm

Have you ever wanted to work with clay, or just have a laid-back environment to see if it is something you are interested in?

In this short workshop, instructor and ceramic artist Mariam Foster will help you learn basic handbuilding techniques like slab, pinch, and coil, and will allow you plenty of time to experiment!

Whether you are interested in just practicing and improving your skills, or you would like to leave with a finished hand-built piece, this two-hour session is perfect for those interested in getting a taste of the ceramics world!

You will work with air-dry clay, and details on suggested finishing supplies and methods will be provided in the workshop.

This class is perfect for all levels -- no experience is necessary, but seasoned potters are welcome!

Consider pairing this class with the May 26th Intro to Handbuilding class if you are interested in experimenting on Friday, and creating a planned project on Saturday!
