Make a GiftDear Friends:

Who could imagine the positive change that would find its way to this museum- in the heart of Virginia’s Blue Ridge- in less than one short year?  I am tremendously proud of our community, our neighbors, our artists, our businesses, and our City of Roanoke that has continued to believe that effective change can realistically happen.

levels of supportI am writing to tell you that the impact of your support is easy to see at the Taubman Museum of Art.

From engaging educational programming and exhibitions, to the care and conservation of the Museum’s permanent collection, your generosity enables the Taubman to connect with visitors and our community in new and compelling ways.  Your support nurtures the museum’s growth as a center of creativity, innovation, and wonder.

Yes, our needs are still great.

Because of your support this past year, the Taubman Museum of Art has experienced tremendous success.  We’ve organized dynamic national exhibitions including Yoko Ono’s vision of world peace, photography documenting the Civil Rights Movement, presented our own Virginia artists, and maintained three dazzling galleries of the museum’s permanent collection.  We’ve also increased the number of programs that encourage meaningful interaction with the museum’s collections, including hands-on activities for families and students of all ages.

With every gift you make to the Taubman Museum of Art, you reinforce how much art and culture—from Virginia and around the world—means to you, our families, and our community.  Your support makes a great difference in our ability to broaden the museum’s impact.  You can have the satisfaction of knowing that your contributions help make free admission to exhibitions possible allowing ALL individuals, regardless of their economic status, to be welcomed to our galleries and creative learning spaces.

We have important goals to yet achieve, and seek your vital support to foster our positive presence in this community.  I hope you will continue to bolster our efforts by contributing to the Taubman’s year-end annual fund appeal.

The year ahead at the Taubman is a nice warm glow which is continuously growing with your support.  As we continue free admission, we’ve balanced our budget, restored the acquisitions process and are bringing new works into the permanent collection.  We will continue to offer new and exciting national exhibitions, and strengthen partnerships with local schools and community groups to provide tours and programming that actively enhances classroom study.

Make a GiftYour gift of $50 or $5,000 will go a long way in helping the Taubman Museum of Art continue to offer enriching experiences for the entire family.  Please help us continue opening hearts, inspiring minds, and igniting imaginations by making a generous gift today.  Thank you!

The museum is open more hours than ever, so I invite you to experience firsthand all that your support helps accomplish.  I hope to see you very soon as you venture through the doors of your museum.

Gratefully and with best wishes for a bright holiday season,
