Adult Group Tours
The Taubman Museum of Art provides free general admission to the galleries. Adult groups of any size may tour throughout the day, self-guided, at no charge. The use of the stools for a self-guided group can be arranged for a one-time fee of $15 payable upon arrival or ahead of time. Adult Group Lunch and Tour
Want to make your touring experience even more meaningful? Then join us for a lunch and tour option with a boxed lunch provided by 2nd Helpings Cafe. By purchasing boxed lunches from 2nd Helpings Cafe, your group will help the Roanoke Rescue Mission as 100% of the profit from the 2nd helpings café goes to provide shelter, food, clothing, and medical care for the homeless. Enjoy our lunch and tour option for $20 per person. We offer docent-led tours for college groups of ten or more people. Tours are $5 per student. Pay $10 per student and your customized specialty tour depending on requested focus which might include a meeting with senior staff, a curator or exhibition designer who will also speak about behind-the-scenes, exhibition design, education interpretation and/or architecture.

The Taubman Museum of Art is partnering with the Alzheimer’s Association, Central and Western Virginia Chapter, to offer docent-led discussions of our exhibitions and permanent collections for those affected by memory loss. Each hour-long tour is designed to provide a welcoming space to talk about the artworks on view with a small group.

Behind-the-Scenes & Museum Careers
Behind-the-scenes tours give an exclusive opportunity undergraduate and graduate students to understand the workings of a fine art museum. Tours will include access to special spaces not traditionally available to the public. These staff-led tours are available to university groups of ten or more and are $8 per person.
