Programs for Adults
Adult programs complement exhibitions and the permanent collection and address current topics of interest in the community, drawing on top artists and scholars to provide a range of perspectives. Docent and volunteer opportunities capitalized on the talents of many in the community to enrich visitor experiences. An intensive, on-going training program covering educational theory, teaching techniques, and art history prepares docents to offer tours and education programs. Other programs include: lectures, panels and symposia; studio workshops and artist demonstrations; art history courses; and internship opportunities for college and university students.

Family Programs
Family programs encourage intergenerational activities and encourage learning as play. Family Days, offered two times a year, are day-long free events with music and other performances, special crafts, and hands-on activities. Summer camps serve children from ages 5 -13, introducing them to art and culture around the world. Interpretive materials for families are available for selected collection objects and temporary exhibitions.
